Lichtensteiger, Redskins agree
Lichtensteiger started all 16 games at left guard for the Redskins last season, returning from a serious knee injury the year before. His comeback performance earned him the team's Ed Block Courage Award.
Lichtensteiger agreed in principle to the deal Saturday night. He was set to become an unrestricted free agent on Tuesday.
Lichtensteiger was part of a line that helped Alfred Morris set a franchise-rushing record as the team won the NFC East for the first time since 1999.
Both had been set to become restricted free agents next week.
Paulsen started 10 regular-season games last season, catching a career-high 25 passes for 308 yards and one touchdown. He also caught a touchdown pass in the Redskins' playoff loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
Primarily a blocker for tailback Morris, Young rushed 14 times for 60 yards in 2012. He also caught eight passes for 109 yards and two touchdowns.Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.
