Agent: Josh Cribbs' knee still healing

The Arizona Cardinals are waiting for Josh Cribbs' surgically repaired meniscus to heal before continuing talks with the free-agent wide receiver/kick returner, his agent told multiple media outlets.

Cribbs had agreed to a contract with the Cardinals last week, according to multiple reports, but as of Tuesday the team still hasn't announced his signing.

Agent J.R. Rickert told USA Today Sports and Fox Sports that his client had surgery to repair his meniscus after the season, and the Cardinals want to let the injury completely heal before proceeding with contract talks and giving his client a physical.

The 29-year-old Cribbs has 11 career touchdowns on kick returns (three punt, eight kickoff). He wasn't a major factor into the Cleveland Browns' passing game, except for the 2011 season, when he caught a career-best 41 passes for 518 yards and four touchdowns.

His 27.4-yard average on kick returns last season was ranked fourth in the NFL.
