TAMPA, Fla. -- Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick is active for Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but will play only if both starter Nick Foles and rookie Matt Barkley are injured.

Vick injured his hamstring during last week's 36-21 victory against the New York Giants. He took part in practice all week, including full participation in Friday's session.

The Eagles officially listed Vick as questionable for this week's game.

Foles started six games for the Eagles last year after Vick sustained a concussion. His record was 1-5, with the only victory coming here in Tampa.

This will be the 10th start Vick has missed due to injury in the past three seasons. He set his goal for the season to start all 16 games for the first time since 2006, when he was in Atlanta.

Barkley is active for the first time this season and would be the first quarterback off the bench if Foles were to get injured.

As recently as Thursday, Vick sounded as if the injury was improving. But he also indicated he felt sure he would be ready to go by next week's home game against the NFC East rival Dallas Cowboys.
