Week 13: Seahawks shake road woes
Quarterback/wide receiver, Seattle Seahawks
Thanks to Wilson and Rice, the Seahawks' three-game road losing streak is history. Wilson connected with Rice for a 13-yard touchdown with 7:33 left in overtime to lift the Seahawks to a 23-17 victory at Chicago. Wilson was 23-of-37 for 293 yards and two TDs without an interception. Rice finished with six catches for 99 yards.
Quarterback, Indianapolis Colts
Sure, Luck was picked off three times, but his late-game heroics make him worthy of a spot here. Luck threw four TD passes, including the game-winner to Donnie Avery as time expired, lifting the Colts to a 35-33 victory over Detroit. Avery's 14-yard score capped a furious, 11-play drive in the final 1:07. Luck passed for 391 yards, his sixth 300-yard game of the season.
Wide receiver, Detroit Lions
The talented Johnson wreaked havoc on a shaky Colts secondary. Johnson caught 13 passes for 171 yards in the Lions' loss. His 46-yard TD grab gave Detroit a 30-21 lead in the third quarter.
Running back, Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings continue to lean on Peterson, and the MVP candidate continues to deliver huge performances. Peterson rushed for 210 yards on 21 carries in Minnesota's 23-14 loss to the Packers. Peterson had an 82-yard TD run in the second quarter and a 48-yard burst deep into Green Bay territory early in the third.
Tight end, Oakland Raiders
Myers also belongs on the list of players who shined in losing efforts. Myers caught 14 passes for 130 yards -- both career highs -- and a TD in Oakland's 20-17 loss to the Browns. Myers' previous career high in receptions was eight.
Wide receiver, New England Patriots
AFC East titles. Big games from Welker. Both have become almost automatic for the Patriots. Welker caught 12 passes for 103 yards and a TD in a 23-16 victory at Miami, helping New England clinch its fourth straight division crown. It was Welker's 17th career game with 10 or more receptions, tying Jerry Rice for most in NFL history.
Quarterback, Dallas Cowboys
In a game the Cowboys absolutely had to have, the often-criticized Romo was as sharp as he's been all season. Romo completed 22 of 27 passes for 303 yards with the three scores in a 38-33 victory over Philadelphia.
Running back, Kansas City Chiefs
On an emotional day in Kansas City, Charles helped the Chiefs snap an eight-game losing streak. Charles rushed for 127 yards on 27 carries as the Chiefs beat Carolina 27-21.
An opportunistic defense helped the Texans lock up a second straight playoff berth. Houston, despite missing three defensive starters, forced six turnovers and sacked Titans QB Jake Locker six times in a 24-10 victory. Rookie linebacker Whitney Mercilus had two of those sacks and also recovered a fumble.
Led by Fred Jackson (109 yards), the Bills had a big day on the ground against Jacksonville. Buffalo rushed for 232 yards in a 34-18 victory. C.J. Spiller (77 yards) capped the win with a 44-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
Quarterback, New York Jets
Sanchez's season to forget hit a new low Sunday. Against a Cardinals team that had lost seven straight, Sanchez threw for only 97 yards and was intercepted three times before being pulled for Greg McElroy late in the third quarter. The Jets, who scored a quick TD after Sanchez was benched, won 7-6.
Quarterback, Arizona Cardinals
The QB ineptitude wasn't confined to the Jets. Lindley completed only 10 of 31 passes for 72 yards and an interception. In two starts, Lindley has thrown five picks with no TD passes.
Quarterback, Minnesota Vikings
Plenty of quarterbacks have had big days against the Packers' defense this season. Not Ponder, who completed only 12 of 25 passes for 119 yards Sunday. Among his lowlights were a pair of interceptions to safety Morgan Burnett. The first one was in the end zone with the Vikings looking to build on a 14-10 lead.
Quarterback, Tennessee Titans
Locker was responsible for five of the Titans' six turnovers against Houston. Locker (21-of-45, 309 yards) threw three interceptions (two were deflected), lost two fumbles and had a handful of passes batted down.
