St. Louis QB Nick Foles may have been hit 12 times by the Packers D, but not one of those hits accounted for any of his four ugly interceptions thrown on Sunday. NFL Week 5 winners & losers

Long week-to-week with hyperextended knee

Despite fears to the contrary, the St. Louis Rams got some good news on defensive end Chris Long's injured right knee Monday afternoon.

Rams coach Jeff Fisher acknowledged that RB Todd Gurley can't sustain a 30 carry a game pace and will probably get some extra rest this week with team on bye. Tre Mason didn't play much against Packers and for second week in a row, Fisher said Mason needs more opportunities.

Rams still doing tests on RG Rodger Saffold's injured shoulder. The shoulder is not the same one Saffold had surgically repaired in the offseason. Garrett Reynolds will handle that job in the meantime.

Rams coach Jeff Fisher said DE Chris Long has a hyperextended knee and will probably miss a couple of weeks. Fisher said team is relieved by news after fear of ligament damage. Long's ACL and MCL are ok. Rams on bye this week which gives Long additional time to heal.

Gurley deserves credit

A week after shining in Arizona, Todd Gurley was even better in Green Bay on Sunday. The rookie's performance against the Packers earned a game ball. Who else was deserving?

Rams coach Jeff Fisher offered no update on status of injured DE Chris Long (knee) and RG Rodger Saffold (shoulder) after game. Both will undergo further tests this week. Rams on bye next week so if either has serious injury, the Rams have a little extra time to get them healthy.

Rams QB Nick Foles put blame on himself for his four interceptions despite continuous pressure allowed by offensive line. Foles said he has to make better decisions and know when to take a sack or throw it away rather than forcing throws.

Rams RB Todd Gurley set (short) career highs in carries (30) and rushing yards (159) against Green Bay on Sunday. He told me after the game he did wear the knee brace he shed in practice during the week. He wanted to play without it but trainers advised him to keep it on. Despite production with it, Gurley believes he can do more once he's rid of brace.

Rodgers' streak ends as Packers improve to 5-0 (0:59)

PACKERS 24, RAMS 10 (FINAL): The developing theme of the Rams offense failing to uphold its end of the bargain behind a strong defensive performance showed up again Sunday. The defense managed three takeaways but the offense converted those into just three points and QB Nick Foles threw four interceptions behind a shoddy offensive line, Todd Gurley's best efforts weren't enough to prevent the Rams from dropping to 2-3 entering the bye week.
