Two practices for the Broncos today -- a 9:30 a.m. practice that is open to the public to go with an afternoon walk-through that is closed to the public. This morning's practice is the first weekend affair of training camp so it will be a good gauge of fan interest. Attendance has been down slightly, from last year, in the first two days of camp, including 3,407 fans Thursday (the first day). Last summer 4,025 fans attended the first practice of training camp. In 2015, the Broncos had 54,313 fans attend their 13 open training camp practices combined, an average of 4,178 per day. The total was an attendance record since the team returned to have training camp at its suburban Denver complex in 2005. Last year the team set a single-day attendance record for training camp when 5,507 fans attended the Aug. 7 practice.

Nobody beats the Sheriff in the red zone

Over the last decade, other QBs lead the NFL in red zone completion percentage or TD-to-INT ratio. But in that span, no QB has been more efficient in the red zone than Peyton Manning, per Bill Barnwell. Red zone analysis

Getting the most bang for the buck at QB

The Bills are spending relative pennies ($6.5 million) on QBs and getting very good production from Tyrod Taylor. Only the Vikings ($5.6 million) are spending less at the position, with the Broncos just behind at $6.8 million.

How will Denver fill linebacker void?

Inside linebacker Danny Trevathan, Denver's leading tackler in two of the past three seasons, left to Chicago. Now the team needs to fill his spot. It's a position in the Bronco's defensive plan that requires an active linebacker, and Todd Davis and Corey Nelson are battling it out for job, writes Jeff Legwold. Under-the-radar storylines

If experience at quarterback matters...

...then the Broncos will go with Mark Sanchez in Week 1. Paxton Lynch is a rookie, while Trevor Siemian has played just one NFL snap: an end-of-half kneel-down last season.

Putting Denver's D in proper context

How good was the Broncos' defense a year ago? Per ESPN Stats & Info, it pressured QBs at the highest rate of any team in the last seven seasons. Oh, and the run defense wasn't too shabby either.

Osweiler signing sends ripple effects

Brock Osweiler's departure to Houston will loom large in 2016, and not just for the Texans. The resulting changes for the Broncos at QB might be even more intriguing, Dan Graziano writes. Moves with immediate impact

About 35 minutes into practice and linebacker Von Miller has gone with strength coach Luke Richesson to work in the Broncos weight room. Coach Gary Kubiak said Wednesday the team would take a measured approach with Miller early in training camp since Miller missed offseason program.

A little tough to see, but Broncos secondary coach Joe Woods has some of the defensive backs wearing blinders in drills. He's talking about vision, looking to right places.

Mark Sanchez gets the first work at quarterback with the Broncos' starters on offense today. Cornerback Aqib Talib is not in uniform, but he jogged on to the field and is expected to work with the strength and conditioning staff.

Kubiak: Broncos not interested in Foles

Asked on 104.7 The Fan if the Broncos have interest in free agent QB Nick Foles, head coach Gary Kubiak indicated he's happy with his current trio of quarterbacks. "We've been set, we know which direction we're heading and it's time to go compete," he said.
