The Panthers signed punter Swayze Waters to a one-year deal. The former Alabama-Birmingham player kicked in the Canadian Football League the last four seasons. He was the CFL special teams player of the year in 2014. Brad Nortman, who has kicked the past four seasons for Carolina, just completed the final year of his contract and is a free agent.
