Some around the division believe Aaron Rodgers is too arrogant. Is the criticism well founded, or just sour grapes? Dan Graziano answers.

Bears got a bargain in Akiem Hicks

The Patriots wanted to bring Hicks back, but Chicago snapped him up on a reasonable two-year, $10 million deal. Mike Sando likes the price for a solid young starter. Friendly contracts (Insider)

'85 Bears ended Chicago's long drought

After the 90s Bulls and the Blackhawks' current run, it's easy to forget the Windy City's lack of titles from 1964 to January of 1986. According to Bill Barnwell, that stretch is the third-worst run of misery ended by a championship, trailing Cleveland and Seattle. Sports Misery Index

Fox was a strong defensive back at SDSU

Bears head coach John Fox transferred to San Diego State in 1975 and broke his collarbone the same year. But in 1976, he put up impressive stats (and took a hilarious photo) that earned him our No. 18 spot. Ranking all 32 NFL coaches as players

Bears' defense still lacks stars

Adding Danny Trevathan in free agency was nice, but Chicago needs more standouts on defense, especially in the secondary. The Bears land near the bottom of Bill Barnwell's rankings. Ranking defensive triplets

Who should be favored in the NFC North?

The Packers have been the division's ringleaders of late, but some uncharacteristic struggles last year helped the Vikings snag the crown. What should we expect in 2016? Dan Graziano discusses.

Bronko Nagurski and the passing game

In 1932, forward passes could only be thrown from at least 5 yards behind the line of scrimmage. After Nagurski bent the rule for a Bears playoff TD, the NFL removed it from the rulebook, giving rise to the passing game as we know it. Seifert: Rule origins

Will Bears give Jeffery big bucks?

After missing seven games last season, the new front office may want to see Alshon Jeffery on the field before offering him any money. We'd be surprised to see Jeffery get a deal anytime soon. Predicting NFL contract extensions

The Bears signed veteran tight end Tony Moeaki on Thursday. Moeaki, who attended Chicago's veteran minicamp on a tryout basis, is best remembered for the two productive seasons he had in Kansas City in 2010 & 2012. The Bears are thin at tight end, meaning if Moeaki stays healthy, he could win a spot on the 53-man roster. Chicago also signed DL Marquis Jackson, the twin brother of Jacksonville DE Malik Jackson.

John Fox surprised the Bears by canceling the final minicamp practice following team stretch. "They earned it, Fox said. "I don't just do that just to do that. I've been very pleased with the effort and participation level." The Bears report to training camp on July 27. Fox famously tells his players he doesn't want to read about them over the next five weeks unless they win the lottery.

Everything depends on Jay Cutler

The duo of Alshon Jeffery and Kevin White looks awfully promising, but will Cutler regress after Adam Gase's departure? The uncertainty holds Chicago's triplets back on Bill Barnwell's list. Ranking triplets
