Veteran OLB and seven-time Pro Bowler Dwight Freeney will work out for the Bengals this week, a league source said. That would be an intriguing signing. Freeney, 36, was a mid-season addition for the Cardinals last season and still led the team with eight sacks. Earlier this month, he told "SportsCenter" he wouldn't mind coming back to Arizona, but wanted to play for a winning team. The Bengals have 52 wins the past five years.

Shawn Williams didn't call many people after he signed his four-year extension with the Bengals, but he did reach out to Vikings CB/former Cincy CB Terence Newman. "He's been the guy that guided me through this whole process. I'm very happy to still have him to be able to call even though he's not here," Williams said.
