Riding off into the sunset?

If Super Bowl 50 was indeed Peyton Manning's final game, Hollywood couldn't have scripted a better ending. The sure-fire Hall of Famer wouldn't be the first legend to finish on top.

KC Joyner ESPN Insider

Two interesting items from the ESPN Stats & Information review of Super Bowl 50. Cam Newton was 5 for 20 for 147 yards (7.4 YPA), zero touchdowns and one interception on vertical passes (aerials thrown 11 or more yards downfield). He had a Total QBR of 17 on those throws, which is really bad considering 50 is the average in that metric. The odd part is Newton was exceptional on stretch vertical passes (aerials thrown 20 or more yards downfield). He went 3 for 5 for 86 yards (17.2 YPA) and a 99 Total QBR. Add it up and it turns out Carolina might have been better suited to let Newton be even more aggressive on downfield throws.

Broncos' Talib calls Levi's Stadium turf 'terrible'

Some players weren't happy with the field at Levi's Stadium for Super Bowl 50. Stadium workers even had to pick up divots before the game after warm-ups and following the halftime show.

Clayton: Wade Phillips finally kicks down that door

Von Miller got the MVP award, but the architect of Denver's defensive domination in Super Bowl 50 is a coach who was out of work not long ago. Wade Phillips finally broke through on a big stage.
