Defensive end Derek Wolfe officially returns to Broncos today after four-gave suspension for violating league's policy on performance-enhancing drugs. Coach Gary Kubiak said last night team gets three-day roster exemption before the team has to make a move and be at 53 players for Sunday's game in Oakland.

The Broncos defense has now forced turnovers in key situations in all four of the team's games. How? Linebacker Von Miller, a free spirit to be sure, said "mind control." He then added; "I've said before, but the first time I said it was in Kansas City, and really I was just messing with guys, just kidding, but now they're all saying it every game ... That we have mind control."

The road not taken

The last time Denver started off 4-0, its offense was a juggernaut. This time around, the Broncos have followed a much different path. Will both roads lead to the same result?

After 18 sacks in four games, the Broncos are now on pace to tie the NFL's single-season record -- 72 by the 1984 Chicago Bears. In Sunday's win over the Minnesota Vikings the Broncos had seven sacks with seven different players getting credit for at least .5 of a sack. Also, for the season the Broncos have 11 different players with at least one sack.

I'm telling you I'd rather throw in between two guys than hit that wide-open ball, you've seen it too many times, just don't miss a layup, they say"
