The Lions will have a presence in Canton this year as former guard Dick Stanfel has made the Hall of Fame as one of the senior candidates. Stanfel played for the Lions from 1952 to 1955.

Former Lions WR Titus Young has been charged with felony battery with serious bodily injury in Los Angeles County, according to court records. If convicted, Young could go to state prison. In May, he was sentenced to five years probation after pleading no contest to felony battery and as part of the May sentencing was supposed to spend one year in a San Diego drug and addiction treatment center and was ordered not to leave the facility.

Lions bring in Josh Schuler as an assistant strength and conditioning coach. He had spent the last 10 months at EXOS and before that was a strength coach for football at Navy.
