Joique Bell said he was somewhat limited in reps but that he did everything with the first team offense for the Detroit Lions on Monday. Bell, who was taken off PUP earlier in the day, said his recovery has "exceeded my expectations."

Haloti Ngata and Joique Bell returned to practice with the Detroit Lions. So did Kyle Van Noy and Ezekiel Ansah. DeAndre Levy still not practicing with the Lions.

The Detroit Lions continued their cuts Tuesday, releasing Ryan Broyles, Deon Butler, Garrett Gilbert, Vernon Johnson, Desmond Martin, Roy Philon, Jocquel Skinner, R.J. Stanford and Erik Williams. The Lions also placed CB Chris Owens on injured reserve. No surprises from the cuts thus far.

The Detroit Lions are slowly starting to make cuts as the team has waived RB Desmond Martin and DL Erik Williams in addition to WR Ryan Broyles.

Lions trade for Bucs' TE Tim Wright

Wright, a second-year pro, goes to Detroit in exchange for kicker Kyle Brindza. Wright caught six touchdown passes for the Patriots last season but was released in June. Tampa Bay re-signed him -- but now has traded him for the second time.
