Luck on expectations: 'Pressure is a privilege'

Colts quarterback Andrew Luck says he is entering training camp 100 percent healthy and doesn't feel added pressure after receiving a massive contract extension.

Bob Holtzman ESPN

The Colts are determined to keep Andrew Luck healthy. He practiced sliding during OTAs, but offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski tells me convincing Luck to slide is still a work in progress. Chudzinski compared Luck to a QB he coached at the U of Miami years ago: Hall of Famer Jim Kelly. Chud said Kelly was a high school linebacker and that Luck plays the same way. Interesting comparison.

Andrew Luck may look a little different this season. New QBs coach Brian Schottenheimer said he's been working with Luck on taking quicker steps. It's all about getting set up more quickly in hopes of avoiding hits. Luck looks a little trimmer to me too.

Art Jones' time with the Colts continues to go downhill. The NFL announced Friday that he's been suspended the first four games of the season for violating the NFL's performance enhancing substances policy. Jones is eligible to return to the active roster on Oct. 3. Jones has played a total of nine games with the Colts since signing with them in 2014.

Former Colts and Tampa coach Tony Dungy on Dennis Green: "As he got toward the top of the ladder, what he wanted to do was help other coaches, especially those African-American coaches that were trying to get into the pipeline of coaching in the NFL. He taught me a lot about that. He poured it into me. It's a tough, tough day losing Denny."
