Colts long snapper Matt Overton on Zurlon Tipton, who died after he accidentally shot himself Tuesday: "Zurlon was a dude you rooted for. An undrafted, talented, hard-working player who always seemed to have a smile on his face. His personality was contagious. In 2014 he finally got promoted to the active roster and he was a key contributor on the 4th Down Army (special teams) and a tough back up running back. He was the hammer when on the field. He will always be our brother, he is family. Today is a tough day for many. Prayers go out to his family during this difficult time."
Zurlon Tipton, a former Indianapolis Colts running back, has died after accidentally shooting himself at a car dealership in suburban Detroit. He was 26.
Can Mike Mularkey find success in Tennessee to make people forget his head-coaching stints in Buffalo and Jacksonville?
Dwayne Allen has a lot to live up to
Allen's career production (91 catches, 1,045 yards, 13 TDs) is less than what Rob Gronkowski put up in 2011 alone. But based on his new contract, Allen is expected to be a top tight end in Indy. Player-friendly contracts (Insider)
Will the Jags' defense be dangerous?
If Jacksonville's talent on defense lives up to its billing, the Jaguars should be contenders for the division crown. But will it? Dan Graziano breaks it down.
Colts paid Castonzo the right way
Anthony Castonzo isn't a stalwart left tackle, so Indianapolis didn't give him a lengthy, bonus-laden extension. At his current price, Castonzo looks like a bargain. Friendly contracts (Insider)
The Jaguars have added free agents and top draft picks to bolster their defense, and it might be enough to keep them close to the top of the AFC South.
Colts owner Jim Irsay paid $137,500 on Saturday for the "Yellow Cloud" electric guitar that Prince used in numerous concerts from the late 1980s to the mid-1990s.
Where will Andrew Luck's contract rank?
All signs have pointed to Luck setting a new mark for quarterback contracts, but his resume is not as impressive as that would suggest. Each of the league's five highest-paid QBs have won at least one Super Bowl.
Few have produced like Andrew Luck
Despite missing nine games in 2015, Luck still ranks fourth in NFL history with 101 passing touchdowns through his first four seasons, trailing only Dan Marino, Peyton Manning and Russell Wilson.
A ton of talent hanging up the cleats
A whopping eight players with at least three Pro Bowl selections each have retired this offseason. As a group, the eight players have 50 combined Pro Bowl invitations on their resumes.
Colts refocusing on offensive line
In 2014 and '15, Indy's 13 draft picks included just three offensive linemen, two of whom were taken in Round 7. This April, the Colts used half of their eight picks up front, starting in Round 1 with center Ryan Kelly.
Pagano paid his dues at Wyoming
Colts head coach Chuck Pagano was a two-year starter at safety for Wyoming and played a total of 33 games between 1980-82. His statistics from the time earned him the No. 19 spot on our list. Ranking all 32 NFL coaches as players

Andrew Luck is in Ft. Wayne, IN today teaching kids about health at his Change the Play camp. He tells me he won't put a timeframe on his contract negotiations, but he says he's "anticipating it getting done".
Andrew Luck has been the cream of the AFC South QB crop for years. But coming off a forgettable season, will another division quarterback surpass him?
The Texans' offense got much faster in the offseason, but will the addition of faster skill-position players solve their offensive woes?
The Colts are starting training camp earlier than normal because they're playing in the Hall of Fame game against the Packers on Aug. 7.
Colts' defense lacks homegrown talent
Indy's D isn't exactly filled with top talents. Plus, the few talents the Colts have are transplants from other teams, like Vontae Davis, who was acquired via trade. Ranking defensive triplets
