Seattle made some exceptional selections

John Clayton was particularly high on the Seahawks' draft class, from landing the right tackle they wanted to beefing up their rotation along the defensive front. Just how high does Seattle rank on his list? Clayton: Top draft classes

GM: No Seahawks will wear Lynch's 24 in 2016

No Seahawks player will wear the No. 24 this season, general manager John Schneider said Monday, explaining he made that promise to Marshawn Lynch.

John Schneider on 710 ESPN Seattle mentioned sports science with the Rees Odhiambo pick. He's battled injuries in college, but the Seahawks had "good durability grades" on Odhiambo and were comfortable taking him in the third round.

On 710 ESPN Seattle, Seahawks GM John Schneider says C.J. Prosise will take over Fred Jackson's role from last year. That means a third-down back who will be used quite a bit in the passing game.

Seahawks invested picks up front

Seattle lost Brandon Mebane and Russell Okung this offseason, so it had needs on both sides of the trenches. How did the Seahawks fare addressing those needs in the draft? Drafting for need

Kiper is a 'big fan' of Seattle's draft

For the second straight year, Mel Kiper Jr. loves what the Seahawks did in the draft. Seattle addressed a need along its O-line in the first round, and then got an absolute steal at No. 49 in Jarran Reed. NFL draft grades (Insider)

Seahawks' best pick: Jarran Reed

The Alabama defensive tackle was the 19th player on the board, but he fell to No. 49. Reed is the best run defender in this class, and he should help compensate for the loss of DT Brandon Mebane. Todd McShay (Insider)
