Tavon Austin one of few bright spots

Playing with a heavy heart after the shooting of his close friend Stedman Bailey earlier this week, a clearly motivated Austin was the Rams' only consistent source of offense against Cincinnati. BENGALS 31, RAMS 7 (FINAL): The Rams season is officially off the rails as they were embarrassed by the Bengals for their fourth consecutive loss. At 4-7, its difficult to see where any more wins this season might come from and the pressure on owner Stan Kroenke to make wholesale changes to the coaching staff and front office is only going to increase.

Final: Bengals 31, Rams 7

  • CIN QB A. Dalton: 20-27, 233 yds, 3 TD
  • CIN WR A. Green: 6 rec, 61 yds, 2 TD
  • STL WR T. Austin: 6 rec, 33 yds, 63 rush yds, rush TD

BENGALS 17, RAMS 7 (HALFTIME): The Rams offense showed some signs of life in the second quarter with Tavon Austin doing most of the damage but the defense promptly allowed a touchdown drive to wipe out any momentum that gave St. Louis. The Rams must find a way to continue to piece together drives in the second half -- something theyve done infrequently all year -- but they need the defense to do its usual yeomans work as well if the Rams are going to have a chance to win this one.

Eifert catches another TD pass

Tyler Eifert scored to give the Bengals a 17-7 lead over the Rams. Eifert has six TD catches in his past four games, and an NFL-leading 12 this season. Follow live
