By Pro Football Weekly

Notes: Redshirted in 1998. Had three tackles and two receptions for 42 yards in '99. Moved to cornerback in 2000 and had 34 tackles, 16 passes broken up and four interceptions. Also returned 12 punts for 218 yards and a touchdown. Never got on track in '01 as a result of groin and hamstring pulls. Started just once and had 13-3-1 with 13 punt returns for 117 yards. Bounced back to start as a senior. Had 42-8-5, returned the five interceptions for 63 yards and a touchdown and returned 32 punts for 389 yards and two touchdowns.

Positives: Showed great improvement in 2002. Good athlete with nice size for a cornerback. Can play bump-and-run coverage. Does a good job of using his hands and arms to jam the receiver. Has quick feet and pretty good short-area cover skills. Catches the ball well and can return punts. Has some NFL potential as a punt returner and is a dangerous runner on any type of return.

Negatives: Lacks top-end and makeup speed. Will really struggle to find the ball at times when he is playing with his back to the quarterback. Tougher than he used to be but is not much of a hitter or a very reliable tackler.

Summary: Got back on the radar screen in 2002, but speed is a concern and his play vs. the run still is not very good.
