DE | (6-2, 277, 5.05) | Arkansas
By Pro Football WeeklyNotes: Top high school weightlifter and football player who also made a mark on the hardwood and in the classroom as a member of the National Honor Society. Played in six games at Arkansas in 1999, split time in 2000 and started every game in '01. Team captain in '02. Posted six tackles and one for loss in '99; 28-4 with two sacks in 2000; 39-5-2½ in '01, when he was slowed by an ankle sprain suffered against Auburn; and 18-5-1 in '02. Plus-5.0 clocking in the 40 may bring down House's stock or force teams to consider him inside.Positives: A very coachable player with a good motor. Team captain and leader. Fundamentally sound with good hand and foot quickness, a little burst off the line and some closing speed. He can come off the edge and beat a slower or slower-footed tackle with his speed. Is developing an inside counter move.Negatives: Lacks size and size potential as a down lineman. Gets overpowered and smothered when he plays head up on the tackle and has a hard time coming off blocks. Is not quite mobile enough to project to linebacker.Summary: Has a good chance to make it because of his quickness, hustle and intangibles, but lack of size will always be a problem. The fact that ex-Razorback Carlos Hall did so well for the Titans may help him in the draft. * Player biographies are provided by Pro Football Weekly.
