Robbie Doane

OT | (6-6, 311, 5.4) | Texas
By Pro Football Weekly

Notes: Played in every game as a true freshman in 1999. Top backup at guard and tackle in 2000. Started every game at left tackle in '01 and held his own against Julius Peppers. Honorable mention All-Big 12 selection by league's coaches and the Associated Press last season. Also an Academic All-Big 12 choice.

Positives: Good size and smarts. Good worker who competes. Good instincts and intelligence and gets good position. Understands blocking angles. Big and thick. Great technician. Tough and tenacious. Comes off with good pad level and has had pretty good production. His man rarely makes the tackle.

Negatives: Lacks athletic ability, quick feet and explosion. Lacks quick-twitch muscle. Has below-average feet for an offensive tackle. Lacks leg drive as a run blocker. Questionable sustaining blocks and does not use his hands very well. Ducks his head at times. Slow hands. Marginal athlete. Lacks power and pop as a base blocker and agility as a pass blocker.

Summary: May be better at guard than tackle. Lacks the mobility to be more than a late-round pick.
