Jason Jowers

OT | (6-6, 319, 5.49) | Wisconsin
By Pro Football Weekly

Notes: Redshirted in 1998. Backup guard in '99, when he earned his first letter. Top backup at both center and guard in 2000. Moved to right tackle in '01, started every game and took all but nine snaps. Started every game last year.

Positives: Tough, mean and aggressive as a blocker. Uses his hands well and has a good feel for blocking angles and position. Sustains his blocks and can maul.

Negatives: Average athlete who struggles to contain players with average-or-better speed and finesse because he lacks lateral slide and quick feet. Lacks bulk and upper-body strength. Does not change directions well, especially when engaged, and struggles to mirror.

Summary: Developmental type who has some up side but lacks top skills.
