SELECTED BY INDIANAPOLIS , ROUND 6, PICK 28, OVERALL PICK 193
OT | (6-4, 315, 5.2) | Howard
By Pro Football WeeklyNotes: Younger brother of Ravens Pro Bowl OT Jon Ogden. Started every game in 1999 and 2000 and nine times in '01. Made midseason switch from left tackle to center in '02 and did not immediately adjust to center-QB exchange. Named to Black College All-American Team in '02 for the third straight year. Also named a first-team All-MEAC selection.Positives: Has the size and smarts scouts like. Catches quick off the ball. Good worker and student of the game. Could be much better with better technique. Willing to work on all aspects. Team's most fundamentally sound offensive lineman. Can bend and has athletic ability.Negatives: Lacks explosion and does too much catching and absorbing. Rarely delivers strong hand punch. Doesn't sustain top strength. Plays and blocks too tall. Often struggles to adjust and will stand straight up rather than bend his knees. Plays soft at times.Summary: Ogden has shown versatility and has OT size but the athleticism to play inside if he can overcome his shortcomings to play at the next level.* Player biographies are provided by Pro Football Weekly.
