Torrin Tucker

OG | (6-5, 328, 5.38) | Southern Miss
By Pro Football Weekly

Notes: Started at tackle in 1999 as a second-year freshman and every game at guard the last three years. Gave up just 51 sacks in 331 passing plays and led team with 14 pin blocks. All-Conference USA first-team selection. Dean's list scholar who is in graduate school.

Positives: Big, physical guard with a big frame and long, 34½-inch arms. Tough and durable. Quick off the ball and powerful. Can root out defensive tackles. Finishes and mauls. Has a mean streak and punishes defenders. Very good at the point of attack. Can pull and trap. Big hitter who likes collisions and will go for the throat. Athletic in space. Good pass blocking. Good awareness and football intelligence. Uses his hands very well. Gets a good hip roll and has good athletic ability. Keeps his head on a swivel. Has a good anchor, great athletic ability and good feet.

Negatives: OK lateral movement for an offensive guard but not for a tackle. A little immature and hot-headed. Loses his temper a lot and has a weight problem. Struggles with consistency and can be sloppy about his technique.

Summary: Could be a top guard at the next level if he matures and does a better job controlling his emotions.
