Jason Johnson

QB | (6-1, 212, 4.99) | Arizona
By Pro Football Weekly

Notes: Came to Tucson in 1998 but used a redshirt year. Played in four games in '99 and completed 2-of-5 passes for 52 yards. Played in four games in 2000 and hit 3-of-6 for 23 yards. Started every game in '01, completing 169-of-298-2,347 with 19 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. Was an All-Pacific-10 honorable mention. In '02, completed 239-410-3,327-16-13. Numbers were very respectable considering the offense was horribly unbalanced Arizona was worst in D-I in rushing (48 yards per game).

Positives: Intelligent leader who is poised under pressure and in the clutch. Has good physical skills and a decent arm. Works through progressions well but will bird-dog.

Negatives: Has not been highly productive and needs more reps. Is aware in the pocket but can be forced into mistakes. Could be better mechanically.

Summary: Has a better than average chance of making a developmental squad.
