Randy Bell

RB | (5-9, 200, 4.5) | Carson-Newman
By Pro Football Weekly

Notes: East Mississippi Junior College transfer. Started four times in 2001, carried 82 times for 430 yards and nine touchdowns, caught three passes for 32 yards and returned four kickoffs for 65 yards. Really came on in '02, carrying 137-1,083-11, catching 8-205-2 and returning kickoffs 9-248. Played in a Veer-option type of offense, which tends to put halfbacks in a position to have very high averages per catch.

Positives: Adequate size and very good speed. A breakaway threat who showed more of a willingness to run inside than he did in the past. Can be a dangerous pass catcher.

Negatives: Offense may make him look better than he really is. Still will look to bounce it outside. Has not faced top competition.

Summary: Must get better and tougher and show he can be a complete back in a conventional offense to make it in the NFL.
