TORONTO'S SHOOTOUT WIN IS A FIRST
The Maple Leafs' 2-1 shootout win against the Capitals was their first victory of the season in a game that went more than the regulation 60 minutes. Entering play on Saturday, Toronto was the only NHL team without an overtime or shootout win this season. The Leafs had played six previous games this season which needed more than 60 minutes to decide a winner and they lost four of them in overtime and two via shootouts.
