Mikko Koivu has surgery on ankle
ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The Minnesota Wild will be without captain Mikko Koivu for the next month after their first-line center and leading scorer underwent surgery Monday to repair a broken ankle.
The Wild also placed goalie Josh Harding, who leads the NHL with a 1.66 goals-against average, on injured reserve with an unspecified illness.
