Maple Leafs finally sell Gardens

Toronto Maple Leafs: The home of the Maple Leafs for seven decades will become a food and retail market.

The famed Maple Leaf Gardens has been sold to a division of the Loblaws grocery store chain.

Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Ltd., owner of Toronto's Maple Leafs and the Raptors, announced the deal Tuesday to Canada's largest food distributor. The sale is expected to be completed by early next year. Financial terms were not disclosed.
