Hawks lose NHL's leading scorer Havlat to ankle injury

When the Dallas Stars became red hot in the third period on Friday night, the Chicago Blackhawks didn't have their answer.


The league's leading scorer, Martin Havlat, had gone off earlier in the third period after crashing into the boards and injuring his right ankle.

"I was just trying to make a move and pivot around the defenseman," Havlat told the Tribune on Friday. "My skate got caught and I felt a little pop. Right now it feels sore. We'll see tomorrow."
