Capitals deal twice with Hurricanes
The Washington Capitals, even though they're atop the Eastern Conference standings, made a number of moves prior the 3 p.m. ET Wednesday trade deadline.
First, they worked a deal with Carolina, acquiring forward Scott Walker for a 2010 seventh-round draft pick.
Walker, 36, has been with the Hurricanes for four seasons, but has just three goals and two assists in 32 games in an injury-limited season.
