The Philadelphia Flyers have agreed to terms on a four-year, $18 million contract extension with defenseman Braydon Coburn, a source told ESPN.com.

The 26-year-old Coburn was slated to become an unrestricted free agent July 1.

The new deal pays Coburn an average of $4.5 million a season, a raise over the $3.4 million he's earning this season.
