Every Monday until the end of the season, Prospectus will provide updated Player Power Rankings for the top 10 skaters and top five goalies in the NHL based on HP's proprietary value metric, GVT, which includes offensive, defensive and shootout components.

In the final player rankings of the regular season, Evgeni Malkin completes his dominant season by winning his second scoring title and finishing the season as the No. 1 skater. Phoenix Coyotes goaltender Mike Smith makes a late push to claim the top spot in the goalie rankings.
