Talks expected to resume this week
NEW YORK -- The NHL and the players' association are expected to resume labor negotiations this week in New York.
The sides are likely to meet Wednesday and Thursday, a union spokesman told The Associated Press in an email. The plans and the agenda are expected to be worked out Monday.
"Major economic issues aren't on the agenda," NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly told USA Today Monday via email.
