Flyers deal for Brian Boucher

The Philadelphia Flyers didn't waste any time adding depth in goal.

With the NHL's collective bargaining agreement now official, allowing for trades and signings to commence, Philadelphia has acquired backup goalie Brian Boucher and defenseman Mark Alt from the Carolina Hurricanes in return for forward Luke Pither.

The trade gives the Flyers three goalies in starter Ilya Bryzgalov, Michael Leighton and Boucher.
