NEWARK, N.J. -- Jakob Silfverberg beat Martin Brodeur to his stick side in the shootout and goalie Ben Bishop turned aside 30 shots for his first victory of the season, giving the Ottawa Senators a 2-1 victory over the New Jersey Devils on Monday.

Silfverberg, who assisted on the Senators' regulation goal, skated in on Brodeur in the shootout and fired a right-handed wrist shot that caught the NHL's all-time wins leader by surprise.
