Boone Jenner sent to AHL Springfield

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Columbus Blue Jackets have assigned prized center Boone Jenner to their American Hockey League affiliate in Springfield, Mass., in time for the playoffs.

Jenner's Ontario Hockey League club, the Oshawa Generals, was eliminated from the playoffs on Tuesday night.

The 19-year-old Jenner was Columbus' first pick, 37th overall, in the 2011 draft. The 6-foot-2, 204-pound center had 111 goals and 135 assists, 263 penalty minutes and a cumulative +22 plus/minus rating ...
