Lars Eller released from hospital
Montreal Canadiens center Lars Eller was released from the hospital after being treated for injuries sustained during a second-period hit in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series, the team announced on Friday.
Eller suffered a concussion and facial fractures after taking a big hit from Ottawa Senators defenseman Eric Gryba in the second period of the Senators' 4-2 victory in Game 1 of their playoff series Thursday night. He was removed from the ice on a stretcher.
