Niklas Backstrom has surgery
ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Minnesota Wild goalie Niklas Backstrom has undergone sports hernia surgery.
The team announced that Backstrom's operation went as planned on Thursday morning in Philadelphia. The procedure was done by Dr. William Meyers.
