Tyler Wright leaving Blue Jackets

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Columbus Blue Jackets and former player Tyler Wright, most recently a director of amateur scouting, are parting ways.

The club announced that Wright was leaving on Monday, a day after he helped the team pick eight players in the NHL draft.

Wright was selected by the club in the 2000 expansion draft and played 309 games as a Blue Jacket, scoring 57 goals with 51 assists and 436 penalty minutes. He rejoined the organization in July 2007 as development coach and ...
