Pekka Rinne's infection is E. coli

Nashville Predators goaltender Pekka Rinne has an E. coli infection in his hip, a source confirmed to ESPN.com on Tuesday.

Reports surfaced that the infection would keep Rinne out longer than the four weeks doctors said he would miss after having hip surgery at the end of October. But the source said the team does not have any timetable for his return beyond what doctors originally estimated.
