Cechmanek missed six games with hip injury

LOS ANGELES -- The Kings activated goaltender Roman
Cechmanek and right wing Ian Laperriere before Wednesday's game
against the Anaheim Mighty Ducks.

The Kings also assigned goaltender Mathieu Chouinard to the
Manchester Monarchs of the AHL and designated defenseman Maxim
Kuznetsov for assignment.

The 32-year-old Cechmanek missed six games after aggravating a
bruised hip in the Kings' 3-2 loss to Colorado on Dec. 20. He was
first hurt during a 4-1 victory at Nashville on Dec. 11 and missed
three games before returning against the Avalanche.

Cechmanek has a 12-10-1 record and a 2.30 goals-against average
in 25 games.

The 29-year-old Laperriere, sidelined since Nov. 27 because of a
concussion, had six assists in 20 games for the Kings.

Chouinard didn't play for the Kings after being recalled
Saturday. Kuznetsov had one assist in 16 games for Los Angeles.
