Conroy to be activated

CALGARY, Alberta -- Just when the Calgary Flames were
ready to welcome back Craig Conroy, they learned they will be
without fellow center Stephane Yelle for an extended period.

The Flames announced Friday that Yelle will be out from four to
six weeks with a sprained MCL in his right knee.

Yelle, who has three goals and 10 assists in 36 games, suffered
the injury in Wednesday's 3-3 tie with the Washington Capitals.
He appeared in all 82 games for the Flames last season.

The Flames did not make an immediate roster move regarding
Yelle. The team is expected to activate Conroy from the
injured reserve list prior to Saturday's home game with Dallas.

Conroy, who has one goal and 10 assists in 11 contests, has
missed 19 games with a knee injury.

"I am ready to go," Conroy said. "I am so looking forward to
getting back to playing and be a part it it."

Calgary is in sixth place in the Western Conference with a
22-14-4-3 record.
