Minnesota Wild: The Wild will keep ticket costs
the same for the upcoming season, maintaining their average
per-seat price of $50.72 for the third consecutive year.
No games were played last season, of course, because of the
league-wide lockout that just ended last week with a new collective
bargaining agreement between the owners and the players -- paving
the way for the NHL to resume operations.
In one of several goodwill gestures and fan-rallying events
planned between now and the start of the season, the team won't
charge its 16,500 season-ticket holders for the home opener.
The Wild's prices range from $12 to $80 per game, with the
average cost ranking roughly in the middle of the pack among the
league's 30 teams. Renewal information will be sent Wednesday to
season-ticket holders. A waiting list remains at more than 6,500.
Phoenix Coyotes: The Coyotes released a schedule of seven preseason games, four of them at home.
The first two games will be at home against Minnesota on Sept.
16 and against Los Angeles on Sept. 20. The other contests at
Glendale Arena will be against San Jose on Sept. 28 and in the
preseason finale against Anaheim on Oct. 1.
Road games are scheduled Sept. 23 at Anaheim, Sept. 25 at Los
Angeles and Sept. 30 at San Jose.
The regular-season schedule has yet to be released.
