Hordichuk suspended for initiating altercation

TORONTO -- The NHL on Monday suspended Nashville Predators left wing Darcy Hordichuk three games without pay for initiating an altercation with Los Angeles Kings right wing George Parros on Saturday.

Hordichuk will forfeit $6,887.75, which will go to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.

Hordichuk, 25, was assessed a minor penalty for roughing and a misconduct for starting the altercation with Parros at 5:08 of the second period in a 6-4 road loss to the Kings.
