Canadiens sign RW Perezhogin to one-year deal

TORONTO -- The Montreal Canadiens on Monday re-signed right wing Alexander Perezhogin to a one-year contract.

Financial terms were not disclosed, but TSN of Canada reported
Sunday that the deal was to be worth $627,000.

Perezhogin becomes the 11th restricted free agent retained by
the Canadiens, leaving only right wing Michael Ryder unsigned.
The 26-year-old is awaiting his arbitration hearing.

Drafted 25th overall in 2001, Perezhogin made his NHL debut last
season, recording nine goals and 10 assists in 67 games. The
22-year-old Russian also appeared in 11 games with Hamilton of
the American Hockey League, notching two assists and eight
penalty minutes.
