Flyers' Jody Shelley out four weeks

Philadelphia Flyers forward Jody Shelley will have surgery on Thursday to repair a broken bone in his face after getting hit by a puck below the left eye in practice on Monday, the team announced.

Shelley will be out for four weeks, which puts his return likely during the first round of the playoffs.

The Flyers have already clinched a postseason berth and are currently first in the Eastern Conference.

Shelley ranks second on the team with 127 penalty minutes and has two goals and two assists in 58 games this season.
