From Elias: Manny Malhotra's goal at 3:05 of the first period held up in the Cancuks' 1-0 win over the Kings. It was the second-earliest goal in a 1-0 win in the NHL this season. Ryane Clowe scored at 1:22 of the first period in the Sharks' 1-0 win over the Flyers on February 28. It was the earliest goal in a 1-0 game in Canucks' history. The previous quickest was by Matt Cooke at 9:19 of the first period on March 24, 2004 against the Kings.

Another Multi-goal Game For Cooke
From Elias: Matt Cooke, who scored two goals in the Penguins' 5-2 win over the Rangers on Thursday, scored two more goals in Pittsburgh's 5-2 victory against the Devils on Saturday afternoon. Cooke has four two-goal games this season, one more than his total for the previous six seasons combined (three from 2005-06 through 2010-11). The only other season in Cooke's NHL career in which he recorded more than one multiple-goal game was 2001-02, when he had a pair of two-goal games for the Canucks.
