David Desharnais may be the incumbent, but he is no more skilled and has less experience than Plekanec. The dark horse is prospect Alex Galchenyuk, but there are no assurances that he'll start at the head of the team as an 18-year-old. That leaves Plekanec and Desharnais to duke it out. While Desharnais is the safer bet to win the role, it's Plekanec who will do more for fantasy owners, if he can earn back his job on the first line.
