While he didn't have Ilya Kovalchuk to play beside last season, as he did for much of 2009-10, he still had the chance to be the focal point of the offense and didn't come through. Antropov said during the offseason that his hip was not 100 percent last season and that he didn't feel comfortable until the final months. Working against him as he plays for the Winnipeg Jets this season is the fact that other players likely have lapped him on the depth chart. Antropov will have to start on the second line to begin the season. The good news is the Jets have some tools for him to work with even on the second line. Evander Kane and Eric Fehr would be the worst Antropov could do for linemates, and both those wingers will be looking to prove something this season.","seasonId":2012,"date":"Fri Sep 9"},"playerRater30DAY":-0.5,"playerRater15DAY":-1.1,"positionRank":75}
