James Neal: Back-to-back Four-point Games
From Elias: James Neal set a single-game career high with four assists in the Penguins' 5-1 win over Nashville, only two days after he recorded three goals and one assist in Pittsburgh's 8-4 victory against Winnipeg. Over the last four seasons the only other NHL players to score four or more points in each of two consecutive team games are Carolina's Eric Staal (April 6 -8, 2010) and the Islanders' John Tavares (Oct. 13-15, 2011). Neal was the first Penguins player to do that since Sidney Crosby on Dec. 13-15, 2006.

Four Goals In Two Games For Staal
From Elias: Eric Staal scored two goals for the Hurricanes in their win over the Panthers, three days after he scored twice in a game at Winnipeg. It's only the second time in his NHL career that Staal had back-to-back multiple-goal games. Staal had a two-goal game and a hat trick in consecutive games in April 2010.

Staal Doubles In Hurricanes' Road Victory
From Elias: Eric Staal scored two goals, his 20th and 21st of the season, to lead the Hurricanes to a 4-3 victory at Winnipeg. It was Staal's 15th multiple-goal road game over the last four seasons (he's had only nine multi-goal games at home over the same span), tying him with Patrick Marleau and Corey Perry for second most in the NHL during that time, behind Alex Ovechkin (20).

Staal Ties Franchise Record
From Elias: Eric Staal tied a Hartford/Carolina club single-season record when he extended his assist streak to 10 games with the first of his two set-ups in the Hurricanes' overtime loss to the Lightning. The only other player in franchise history to register assists in 10 consecutive team games was the Hall-of-Famer Dave Keon, who did it for the Whalers in late in 1979, in Hartford's first season in the NHL. Staal is the first NHL player with an assist streak that reached double-figures since Daniel Sedin tallied assists in 11 straight games for the Canucks early in 2010.
