From Elias: There was a goal scored in the first minute of all three periods in the Blue Jackets-Oilers game. Cam Atkinson scored to give Columbus a 1-0 lead 10 seconds after the opening faceoff, Edmonton's Jordan Eberle scored 39 seconds after play got under way in the second period, and Atkinson tallied his second goal of the game 27 seconds into the third period. It was the first NHL game in which goals were scored in the first 60 seconds of all three regulation periods since Washington played at Montreal on Feb. 10, 2010. The first-minute goal scorers in the game were the Canadiens' Scott Gomez (first period) and Tom Pyatt (second), and the Capitals' Mike Green (third).
